Workshops sound interesting, but one sure fire way of making it totally irresistable is to make it free. XD XD.

Maybe some behind-the-scenes from famous animation movies. Recreating them so people know how they're done?

Wah... I think my group's character design will be exhibited. I think so. Because Seamus said that he's scanning it in. If not nevermind because See Mn and I will join the TOA student awards under character design category. :D

1. About the behind-the-scenes thingy... very old fashion. How about create a famous 3D character face (very big one like your deviant art avatar!!!) to fill up the screen of the giant TV inside the gallery next to the glass wall. It will probably animate and say things like "Come in! This is TOA's 3D exhibition... blah, blah, blah." and do other stupid stuffs. :blah:

2. Maybe give out free gifts? If free gifts, then it has to be cheap (cheapest) in cost.

3. I have an idea! Dunno can or not? create a 3D template of a human. Then visitors to the exhibition can pay an amount of ringgit to have their face scanned and mapped into the character. I've always wanted to see myself as a 'Sim' in 'The Sims' by EA Games. I'm not sure if 3D department can do it, or wether they have the equipments. Oh well, just an idea.

4. I think that's all I can think right now. My head feels heavy. Good luck teacher..., errr... um...Sir!

Money and gold can't buy time but excuses can!

In addition to the ideas above, perhaps we can have video interviews with DA lecturers or animators from local houses (especially past DA seniors who have graduated). It's not exactly new or non-time-consuming to prepare, but it'll offer an interesting insight from these said people's opinions on the subject.

"Have you made any progress today?" :diny:

well, wat can i say? GANBATTE ne.... i strongly support the interview of industrial people. can gib the inside view of the industry to students. how about invite people from moonfx, vhq, silverants...etc to gib talks? this way there will be some interactive going on. or maybe an online forum where people can discuss about the subject?
:iconnumioh:
Above all of that aswell, i think workshops and tutorials would do pretty well in attracting ppl coz, they can learn frm the exhibition and not only admire the works. Try to reach out and communicate to ppl, so that they could relate to what is exhibited ( sorry i'm not very good at giving ideas). I think what ~matsuru said about inviting guests from the industry would be quite interesting, b'coz ppl can get a better understanding about the industry............. :jarksaber:

I've got a suggestion.

Why no have an interactive Classical Animation. Like put a stack of animation paper in the gallery for drawing and then let them do some animation, scan it and display on the OHP. limit to 20 pcs. per person....

Or something like that... anyway.. just a sugestion

Just another boring log...

erlo....this is me... im agree with gilaone.it's good that we let them explore their talent in this way...just that i don't think they'll go there to sit and draw...if there is outsiders...maybe they don't know the usage of the paper also...unless there is someone to guide them about how to do it.. maybe u can comform a time...and have a competition among each other at there...(LIVE) as what we said thatday...maybe can have cosplay.. :peace: don't worry~ we'll always support ya~ DG RULEZ
