Given 2004-05-14

Save the globe by ~ericfoo is a well done surreal piece of work. It might even manage to get a chuckle out of you. The way the pastels and acrylics are used make this piece an outstanding piece of work. But often, good technique is nothing without a good idea, and by ~ericfoo delivers in that department. love the surrealism in this, the shadings, the colors... the dynamism of the forms, the industrialish look, the details! it's a fav!

this is fabulous! reminds me of the editorial illustrations in magazines like the economist etc. wonderful detail, style, colours, everything. it's a very dramatic scene, i love it. +fav

it's really meant to be technology = money = power = greed = destruction.

your stuff brings me bac to the days at collage in illustration (im now in animation industry instead) you use of modeling past, and washes...dame your the poster boy of a good old illustrator.
as for the artwork itself its very bizzy and seem to lack abit of direction, my eye is alover the place, but without atleast a color differenc the important elements seem to get lost in the commotion.

the greenish theme is all over, and too much in my oppinion. i myself would have atlease had the pple and the earth with an orange/red glow around them to give them contrast and a "poping" effect from the bizzy backround.

also thinking even thought the modeling past and wash is cool, it compleatly out of place in this painting, atleast have the modeling past come down further into the image, that would have helped to integrate that element
